Another shot of Izzy from the photoshoot for the website I'm working on (the body). The white outline around her is actually a cardboard cut out that I laid on the ground to simulate a chalk outline. I tried actual chalk, but with the wet asphalt it just didn't show up as well.

Izzy was laying on wet asphalt for this shot. She didn't budge an inch, and didn't even complain once. Izzy just plain rules! And she's beautiful in even the simplest lighting.
Shot this from overhead on a balcony down to the street. Used apeture mode to get a prolonged exposure so I'm not sure exactly what the shutter speed was, probably around 20 seconds or so. It was scary leaning my tripod over the ledge of the balcony and tying it down. I liked the way the reflection from the wet asphalt gave this effect like white blood or her life force was like spilling from her body. Izzy laid out on wet asphalt for this shot and didn't complain even once. She totally rocks.
Took this shot of Kristin just as the sun was setting. Noticed how her hair was like fire when the sun was hitting it. Took a lot of manuevering to block the sun out and avoid a lens flare. Took this one with the apeture wide open and the shutter was set for around 2 seconds I think. Tripod and shutter release cable saved the day on this one. All of these shots of Kristin were the very first pictures I have ever taken period.
This was THE very first shot I have ever taken with a camera. I had just bought my Canon EOS 700 and had it for about a week before I decided to go out and take some shots. I called up my friend Kristin to be my model. She laughed and said it sounded like fun, so off we went on my very first shoot. I had only had a camera for a few days, but luckily I had picked a very good book on photography, and it just a matter of fiddling with the settings. I actually had more problems adjusting the tripod than I did the camera. After I got the slides back for this, I knew I was hooked on photography. As for digital, maybe one day. I gotta tell you; it is the coolest thing, have a box of slides.
Trying out some low light exposures. I can't remember exactly how long it was but I think the exposure for this things was like over 20 seconds. And yes, my kitchen is ugly, which is why I staged the wine glasses on the table.
It's kinda funny. You never notice how really beautiful some of your friends are until you throw them in front of the camera. It's crazy how alluring her lips are in this picture. Took these shots of Izzy so I could use them for graphics on a website I was working on. But the photos turned out so nice, I think I'll actually get them printed!
I was playing around with depth of field. Tried to get as many different depths of focus in this shot. I think it turned out pretty well. Picked up the wooden elephant candle holders in Target for US$10 each. I was very happy with the way the focus was so clear on the right and slowly began to blur out toward the left and back. Had the apeture wide open for this one. Unfortunately my lens only goes to F4, but I was still happy with it. I just had to zoom in quite a bit from a distance to get the effect. I need a F1 lens or maybe a macro? Heard macros do crazy depth of focus in their shots!! But sooooo expensive!
